Can a Stairlift be used on a narrow staircase or where the steps are steel or stone?

Can a Stairlift be used on a narrow staircase or where the steps are steel or stone?

Yes. The ACORN Stairlift is a slim line and the foot rest, seat and arm rests all fold up. Stairways where the narrowest point is 29 inches can usually be fitted with a Stairlift. Stone, granite, cement, carpet, wood, tile and even steel are not obstacles to the installation of an ACORN Stairlift.

Are Warranty problems common with the ACORN Stairlift?

No. Almost all Warranty problems that occur during the first year are directly or indirectly related to problems from self-installs. If a non-Certified Installer does some inadvertent damage to a component or fails to install something properly, the Warranty may not cover. This determination can be made only by a Certified Service Engineer or Installer.

What about pathway obstructions, or a door at the bottom of the track?
